Last Saturday night Uncle Troy (yes, he's awesome) got us and The Brum's Thunder tickets. We met the Brum's for dinner at Mazzio's before the game and then headed to the game. We had a blast. Bro did pretty well with his ears but then they started hurting during the first half of the game, he was still adjusting to sounds being loud, we tried ear plugs, but they didn't stay in very well, so he and I ended up in the lobby for a bit watching the game on tv. Our awesome fireman friend Tony, gave Bro his Noble Fire beanie so we were able to put his ear plugs in then put the beanie over them and they stayed in a lot better, so he watch the rest of the game like that, he looked SO cute, but wouldn't get me take a pic. Thank you Tony!! Here are some pics from our night...CoCo came over Saturday to play and then sat with us during the game! The first pic is us before we left, we all had our Thunder shirts on so I thought a pic was in order! The rest are during the game!GO THUNDER!!

Last Friday Mr. Bro had his 3rd set of tubes put in or as he likes to say "new ears". Hopefully this will be the last time. When we got to the hospital he was in great spirits. The poor boy has a rough time coming out of the anesthesia,so his recovery was pretty yucky for a while...but he's great now, hearing perfect and life is moving forward!! Love you my brave little Broman!!

So I had a bit of a blog meltdown, I guess you could say...I had bought a premade blog background and had the person install it. All of a sudden I got on one day last week and someone else's family was my header, STRANGE...then when I went in to try and fix it everything was just jacked....so my AWESOME friend Kelly fixed it for me...we still can't get it to let us put on a cute background, but at least the header is gone...whew!!!!! I'll try to get some updates from Christmas on soon!!!Have a great weekend...I'm off to Dallas this weekend! :-)

On Friday night we went to the Old Downtown Moore Holiday event. Our number one priority was to see the Grinch, which we were first in line to see, he's our favorite holiday character, our tree this year is even done in Grinch colors. I want to live in Whoville so badly!! ;-)

Santa and Ms. Claus were there as well. We had a blast. We even got to ride the carriage ride with Santa and Ms. Claus, the looks on my kids faces while riding with Santa were priceless...they were in aw!! We followed up our evening with looking at christmas lights around town, watching The Grinch, making cookies and having a slumber party, pulling mattresses in the living room and all! A PERFECT Holiday evening!!! :-)

Over Thanksgiving break my mom, the kids and I flew to Houston for Thanksgiving. This was the kids second time to fly, Bro was 8 months old and Aub was 3 years old the first time, so they don't remember the flight. The kids were so excited, wide eyed and loved taking off and Bro made sure we all had our gum so our ears wouldn't pop!;-) We had a great time! Can't wait to fly again!

I am so thankful and blessed by this clan! Even though we won't be spending Thanksgiving together this year, Kellie, Troy and the kids are in Oregon, mom, me and the kids leave tomorrow for Houston and dad is staying here enjoying Thanksgiving day with GGma and GGpa I still will feel the love and closeness that we all share! The Magic Of Christmas!!

About a month or so ago Bro asked me how Santa gets into our house since we have no fireplace. I told him that he can come in the front door, which Bro quickly asked if I let him in, I told him he uses Christmas magic to get in! Tuesday night mom and I were setting up the Christmas tree so the kids and I could decorate this week (I normally wait until after Thanksgiving, but since we are going to Houston for Thanksgiving and since the kids will be with their dad Thanksgiving weekend, I decided to go ahead, plus they were going crazy to decorate it), anyway...so while mom and I were putting up the tree, our little elf (Elf on the Shelf) friend Greeny shows up with a special gift for the kids. He jumps up in the tree and puts the special gift in the tree with him! ;-) Told mom and I he was patiently awaiting the kids arrival the following evening.

Wednesday when the kids got home, Greeny was waiting for them with Santa's special gift, a key...not just any key...but a special Santa key so he can get in the house on Christmas eve. Greeny told me (which I relayed to the kids, because only parents can hear Greeny speak) that Santa heard Bro's concern about Santa getting in to the house onCchristmas eve so he made them this very special key that only Santa can use on Christmas eve to make his delivery!!

The kids were screaming and WIDE eyed that Santa would send something so awesome!!! This momma is LOVIN' the MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS, it WARMS my heart!!!!!!

Happy Friday everyone!! I wanted to share some pics from the week and express how thankful I am this week.

The kids and I went on the church family retreat last weekend...we had a blast! I'm so thankful that the kids were able to go with me this year! So thankful!!

My Miss Aubree Rian was TOP BANANA at school this week (Student of the week). I am so thankful to have such an awesome child that does well in school and loves school!!

Both kids had their well child appointments this week (sad I can't say well baby anymore, HA). Aub was dying that they made her put on the cloth robe...I thought they looked adorable! I'm thankful to have two very healthy kids!!

After their appointment yesterday we went to Mazzio's to celebrate Aub being top banana...look at these two faces, LOVE THEM!!! I'm sooooooooooo thankful that God trusts me to be their momma!!!

A few weekends ago Bro and I went on a mommy, Brody date to Andy Alligator. Since I took Aub to Taylor Swift this was Brody's "special" thing to do with mommy! We had a blast! We rode go carts, which the pic of him in the go cart is priceless!!

I love when I get to spend one on one time with each of my kids. It means the world to me!! :-)

Trick or Treating!

Last night we went Trick or Treating with our friends Hamilton and GG. We had a blast and trick or treated for almost 2 hours. The weather was perfect and the kids were happy and loving every second!! :-)

The best part was we go to ride in a trailor...it was perfect and the kids thought that was really cool!

One house was decorated as a haunted house, Aub decided to sit that out, but Bro and I went, I'm so proud of him, he made it through his first haunted house and it was pretty scary!!

Papa took Brody to the driving range a few weeks ago...we didn't tell Bro, so he was pretty excited when Papa picked him up from school early to take him. Papa said Bro's favorite thing was hitting out of the sand, because Bro see's the golfers on TV do it, that cracked me up!! Bro had the time of his life, he's still talking about racking the sand for the next golfer!

We had a BLAST at the Taylor Swift concert Saturday night...her show is AMAZING, it's like watching a Broadway Show...so cool...she's beautiful, sounded great and her dancers were awesome! Taylor Swift ROCKS!

Kelly and I surprised the girls with tickets to the Taylor Swift concert for this Saturday, October 15th. Kelly and I bought the tickets back in May through Troy and boy was is a HARD secret to keep, but we wanted to get them shirts, make a big deal about it, you know the fun stuff.

I love how every now and then the girls would be together listening to Taylor's CD or heard a commercial on the radio about the concert and one of them would say, "it would be so awesome to go to her concert"....hehe!! I loved it...well the awesomeness came true my two beautiful girls!!

Can't WAIT until Saturday night!!!

Too cute not to share. This morning it was pouring when the kids and I left the house. We all grabbed our umbrellas and headed to the car. We got in the car, got everyone buckled and were headed to school, Brody says "momma, everyone in heaven is crying today"...my heart be still, that was the sweetest thing I have ever heard...so I told him they were happy tears because we need rain! He then says..."they must be really happy"....Oh I LOVE when my kids throw references to God's beauty in our day! They do this quit often and I LOVE it!! Hope everyone enjoys the rain!!

Aub Rian's Birthday Weekend!

We had a fun birthday weekend for Aub this year! It started off with a big slumber party! We had a blast, went swimming, then took the girls to The Cupcake Lounge, watched movies, etc...there were 7 girls (and 1 Brody) total and the party went so smooth! We had a blast! We then celebrated Sunday with her opening mine and Brody's presents to her and then made her favorite meal, hamburger helper (she picked it). On Monday I checked her out at lunch and we went to McDonald's, where she told me she would no longer be getting a Happy Meal (sniff, sniff)...I have a big 20 year old, I mean 8 year old now! I love you to the moon and back Aubree Rian, I hope you had a wonderful birthday!!

Yesterday was Aub and Brody's first day of school (even though Brody goes to the same school he went to all summer, it was still his first day)...he wasn't to into pics at first, but I got a few later!

As our tradition I take the kids to breakfast and walk them to their classroom the first day! I know this won't last forever, HA! But I know it's really special for them.

I can't believe that I have a 2nd grader and a Pre-Ker!! I love them so much and am SO proud of both of them!! Looking forward to a GREAT year!!!

Aub and Ms. Cox- we are SO blessed this year to have a good friend as Aub's teacher, I knew Jennifer before she was born, her and my sister were best friends growing up! She's such a special, wonderful, sweet person and I'm so proud of what she has become! Aub told me last night "I think Ms. Cox will be my most favorite teacher ever."

Bro had an ear appointment yesterday afternoon, so he and I picked Aub up from school...this is how he looked while we were waiting, he cracks me up!!

Bro and I were waiting by the cafeteria to pick Aub up...she saw me and started running and gave me a huge hug and said "momma, can I go here next year"...I teared up at how excited she was about her new school, there's always a tinge of anxiety when you start something new. I told her "of course"...she talked about her new school, new friends, etc, etc all evening! YAY!! What a true blessing!!

Last week our apartment had a pool party as party of the National Night Out campaign across the nation. We had so much fun at the party and got to meet a lot of neighbors. I truly love where we live, everyone is so friendly and the staff at the apartments are wonderful!! We are very blessed! :-)

Girls Weekend!!

I had a great, awesome weekend! Angie came to visit and we had a blast! We ate lots of good food, got massages, hung out at the pool, met our friend Jennifer Saturday night at Teds then went and saw a movie and shopped Sunday. It was a nice relaxing, fun weekend!! I am so blessed by so many awesome girlfriends in my life!!

Last Saturday was NW Church of Christ's VBS. Easton and Livie spent the night Friday night and went with us Saturday. The kids had a blast. The theme was "Water Works" after VBS they had a water park with big water slides, slips and slides, etc...the kids had a big time and I even got in on the action, it was so hot, I had to!!

I'm horrible and still haven't downloaded my vacation pics yet...I honestly have had no time...I need to FIND time!!
Keep the kids in your prayers! They leave tomorrow for their week vacation with dad, pray for safe travels.

This is the cafe car or "mom can we go get a snack" every 5 minutes car. My mom and I decided riding on the train is like riding in the lap of luxury, you have a cafe car and a bathroom and the vehicle you're in never stops for you to have to do either, lovely way to travel...oh and I didn't have to drive...Brilliant!!

Scenery from the train...this part of the trip through the Arbuckles gave me a whole new sense of how beautiful Oklahoma can be. This part was at times breathtaking, felt like we were in Colorado almost.

My cousin, her family and my grandma came to visit us last week from Houston. We had a blast! Angel and I started their visit off right with pedis on Thursday night. It was some much needed, much deserved "us" time. It was nice to just sit and visit without kids trying to get our attention at the same time. (no pics of the pedis though, sorry)

Friday we woke up early, trying to beat the heat, and headed to the zoo! We had a blast!

Friday night we took the kids to see Rio, it was an hilarious, cute movie. Saturday we ventured out to Kellie and Troy's for a cookout, swimming, visiting and playing games. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the day! (no pics here either, not sure why)

Sunday Aub headed off to Rick and Sue's for the week, we'll miss you Aubree Rian. That evening we took the gang to Bricktown, dinner at Toby Keith's (YUM), walking the canal and rode the water taxi's, the weather was perfect and again we had a blast with one another!

Brody had his last tball game last night. He played so well and had a blast!! Before the game the team met for team pics, which the boys looked so big and did so well. After the game we celebrated the end of the season with my family at McDonald's.

I walked in to my room this morning and caught Brody making my bed...he was so proud of himself. I gave him a big hug and told him he was such a good helper! Proud boy!!

I also should note how much of a helper Aubree is...she's so helpful around the house and will jump at the chance to dust, clean the sink, etc.

We all know mommy needs all the help she can get!! :-)

This morning Aub had her 1st grade awards assembly! She recieved quit a few awards on reading, she loves reading and reads all the time. She also received 1st grades highest award, the Citizenship Award...each teacher picks 2 students from their class for this award. I am so proud of her for winning this award. Way to go Aubree Rian!!

The awesome thing about the Citizenship Award is that two little boys (Zac Kindrix & Noah Sherer) from our church won it in their classes also. We were laughing saying Oakcrest swept the Citizenship Award this year in 1st grade!!

After the awards Robin, Wayne (Zac's Parents), Justin (Noah's dad) and I took the kids to Mazzios for a celebration lunch! We are so proud of them! WAY TO GO GUYS!!!

I didn't get to log on to my blog on Sunday, so I'm doing a belated Happy Mother's Day! Happy Mother's Day to the best mom in the world. My mom is truly my best friend and I love spending every second with her that I can! Thank you mom for everything you do!!
She's also the best Megs in the world too!! She just all around rocks!!

I am very blessed to have her in my life and I'm very blessed to be a mommy myself. Aub and Bro mean everything to me and I'm so blessed that they are my gifts from God. I told them that the other day and Aub said "but mommy, you are our gift from God too"...be still my heart!! Love you mom and love you Aub and Bro!!

With tball, Aub's recital this Saturday, work is busy, etc, etc, etc...life it just plain busy right now...so my blog posts may be short and sweet for a while and there may be lots of time in between posts...I need to get my pics organized and do some past happenings updates, but for now I just have no time!

New Phone

So...I decided to get rid of the iPhone, my phone started acting strange over the weekend, so I went to Best Buy yesterday and talked to them forever about the best phones, etc...they turned me on to the HTC Inspire and so far it's awesome. REALLY fast, VERY user friendly and I love the size of the screen. I really don't think I will be disappointed...AND they told me that most apps are Android apps, so they are almost all free, so the apps that I had to buy on my iPhone are free on this phone...BONUS!!! I am really happy that I chose this phone!!

Oh and I decided it was an early Mother's Day present to myself!! HA!!

The thing that I love the most, the camera has a flash, the iPhone has no flash on the camera, so my pics come out awesome!!

I have been so fascinated with the Royal Wedding and today was the day! It was so beautiful and you can tell they are really in love. I think we all needed something nice and uplifting.

Aub and I were watching the Royal wedding this morning, I was explaining to her in "Cinderella' terms who everyone was. I told her that Prince William's dad is the king, so William is a prince and Kate will be a princess and one day they'll be King and Queen...Aub says "I would rather stay a princess"...Priceless!!!

Her gown was breathtaking and perfect for her. Timeless!!

One of my best friends Jennifer, had her baby boy, Dane last week. Mom and I went to see them on Saturday and boy is he one little handsome guy...he's a snuggler and has tons of hair, precious!
My mom and Jennifer's mom, Sally, were pregnant with Jennifer and I together (we are less than a month apart) so we have known each other our entire lives! Her son Carson is 5 weeks younger than Brody, and they boys play tball together...it's so crazy to see things come full circle with someone you have known your entire life.
Jennifer & her husband Dustin have been a huge support to me over the past few years! I am so thankful for this family!

Monday Brody and I went and ate lunch with Aubree in the school cafeteria (yum, HA) Brody thought it was the coolest thing ever to eat with the "big" kids and Aub was on cloud 9 that we came to eat with her. She showed Brody around, introduced him to all her friends...AND he even go to go to recess with sister! It was so much fun seeing Aub be sweet to him in "her world"...made mommy smile!! :-)

New Bedroom!

Just a little rearranging to start out the weekend! Our friend Livie got a new bed, so she offered Aubree her twin size bed, we gratiously took her up on the offer. Saturday morning our awesome Papa brought Brody's bed over and went and picked up Aub's bed and put them both together, thank you and we love you!

The kids had been sleeping in a daybed and trundle and the plan was to roll the trundle under the daybed each morning for more play room during the day, but as most of you mom's know you get busy and that never ends up happening. So we were excited to put up two new beds for the kids.

Brody's bed came from my friend Becky, the bed was her hubby's bed when he was a little boy, Bro thinks that's cool. Both kids are overly excited to have their own half of the room basically! Makes it feel more like their own space and room. Mommy is loving how happy they are! They haven't come out of their rooms much the past few days! So sweet!!

Everything is coming together so well for the apartment, it truly is feeling like home. Comfy, safe home! I am so blessed at how well things have turned out for the kids and I.

Next project ordering another comforter, trying to decide if we are getting the exact same one Aub has on her bed right now or gonna girly up Aub's side...I told her she could decide...so we wait! :-)

I work at the most amazing place with the most amazing people. We do something at work called RX for Fitness, it has really helped me realize the importance of eating right, exercising, etc and I have actually started doing that, kickboxing anyone??? We have motivational speakers monthly during lunch. Today a guy named Ben from Arkansas came to speak to us! He was amazing and you have got to watch his 120 weight loss journey. Check out his website to see where he was to where he is now, all by running and eating well...amazing!!

This past weekend Angie and Presley came from Dallas to visit. We had such a fun weekend. We went to the zoo on Saturday, it was a BEAUTIFUL day! The new elephant exhibit opened this past weekend, so we got to check it out and it's awesome!!

My grandma gave me this chair, so I decided to have it recovered. Kellie's friend at church recovers furnitures at a great price. I bought the material and gave her the chair. Kellie brought it to me last week and I LOVE it...I think it ties everything together in the living room...LOVE it!!!!!!!

We had a great weekend this past weekend! Friday we went with my parents, Kellie & CoCO to see Moore High School's performance of Grease! It was a great show we had a blast!!
Friday night Livie spent the night with us, then Saturday Kelly & I took Aub, Liv & Bro to see the Justin Bieber movie. It's a great movie, he's a very talented kid. The kids loved the movie. We had a great time!
Saturday night we went to Phil & Kelly's for a cookout, we had a great time and ate some yummy food! That's my favorite part of spring...COOKOUTS!! I am so ready for warm weather.

So our lives just got a little busier...but it's fun busy and I'm loving it. Brody started tee ball last week. He loves it. Practices are on Tuesdays & Thursdays and games start sometime in March. He had a great first practice Thursday night.
Thursday nights Aub is in dance...so the busy is getting two kids two different places at around the same time. But we did it and it worked out great! My parents were a lot of help...so thank you Megs & Papa! :-)

Last Saturday mom, me, Marie and the kids went to Bricktown to walk around and enjoy the weather! Our first stop was Pinkitzel...the BEST cupcake/candy store ever! I REALLY want my house to look like this place one day! :-)
We had a blast and the kids loved it!

After Pinkitzel we headed to the playground in Bricktown then a few other stores. I have more pics on my camera which I hope to download this weekend. It was such a fun, beautiful winter day! We had a blast! :0)

The kids and I have a move in date at The Greens!! February 5th we will be moving! YAY!!

I want to say a SPECIAL THANK YOU to mom and dad for letting us live with you, take over your space, eat your food, etc, etc for the past 1 1/2 years. Letting us live with you have meant more to me than you will ever know! I love you very much and am so blessed by both of you. I think the kids will always remember living at Megs and Papa's house.

For Thanksgiving this year we ventured out to Kellie and Troy's new house, which I love, it's so, so peaceful out there and the kids can run and run! We have a blast at their new house. After lunch, we went out to Bass Pro to Santa's Winter Wonderland and to see Santa! We started this tradition last year and I think we'll do it every year. The kids have such a good time!

Holiday Magic!

Last night we started the tradition of the Elf on the Shelf. The kids LOVE this and are in total belief that the elf really goes and talks to Santa while they are sleeping. Their eyes lit up as the read the story of the elf and when they got up this morning and he had moved to a different location in the house, they were in awe! It's the most fun, cute, sweet and most magical thing about christmas this year! I'll take some pics of the crazy places the elf, who's name is Greeny, ends up!
